Influences around this time were many; those that come to mind now are Cy Twombly, Gorky, George Grosz, Philip Guston and Ray Saunders. The thing I loved about this series of drawings were their sheer immediacy...fast...spontaneous, almost something pulled out of a wisp of air, as if a meer thought passing by.
