I took a number of photographs in upstate New York; this one of a lone bird in a menacing sky at dusk. This one for me has some affinity to the paintings of one of my all time home run hitters, Albert Pinkham Ryder. Recalls his dark, brooding, cracked pigment seascapes with a sailboat on a profound journey, or in distress.
