Valentino Returns - 'Blown Gaskets' car club. Flames were painted by hand, under duress (ha). I was being tested by the Art Director as to my abilities, so he waited until just two hours before sundown, gave me three cans of enamel paint, three brushes and directed me to paint the old beater with flames. I got it done just as the light was fading and then we went to the hotel bar and had several beers. Next day, I had the job...and it was also the day that I met my lifelong buddy and creative partner, Don Webster. But that is another chapter in itself. I am forever grateful to Mr. Woody Romine for the opportunity, it was truly a lifesaver and new beginning.
